Les Eglises de la Communauté de Paroisses
St Benoit de Bouzonville

When returning to the main entry, have a look at:

croix
-  The three classic gates that date back to the consecutive rebuilding that was due to the fire of 1684.

-  A beautiful statue of the Christ made of wood that is on top of the main door.

On your left you can see:
-  The gate that looks out onto the first courtyard of the abbey.

On your right:

-  a Pieta

-  the Cross of Jerusalem that the French pilgrims brought from their journey in 1898.  The Cross was offered to the church of Bouzonville on Easter Monday in 1899 by his Lordship Fleck, the bishop of Metz.  A little cross made of olive wood hangs on the Cross (picture: behind the Virgin’s head.)
